Special Feed

Special feed orders must be coordinated with the Facility Manager to ensure proper receipt and storage of inbound product. The special feed fee covers the costs for time spent on assisting labs, processing forms and payments, ensuring shipment/delivery, and tech time for handling when it arrives.

Note to faculty and staff of the Larner College of Medicine: You must log in with your regular UVM NetID to access files provided by the Office of Animal Care Management.

For many medicated feeds, first-time orders require an additional form and veterinarian signature. Please check with the Facility Manager. In addition, the University Veterinarian can help assess the best match of diet to your protocol needs.

NOTE: Because irradiated feed is produced on demand it usually takes 6 weeks to receive. All other feeds are usually delivered within 1 - 4 weeks depending on Scott's delivery cycle. Some foods can be drop-shipped for an additional fee. Please call (802) 656-1006 if you have questions about a special feed order that has already been placed.
